I have an ASH43 camera I want to connect to my Amcrest NVR or Surveillance Pro. It seems to need to be initialized by the Smart Home App on my iPhone. I started with this process.
Starting with a factory reset on the ASH43, I have tried the Wifi and the Ethernet methods and neither work. Factory reset before each method tried. Phone and camera are on the same network. Confirmed by pinging both. Wifi hotspot gets setup on the iPhone when trying wireless. At the point of connection nothing happens.
My NVR can find the camera but says it is not initialized. Amcrest IP Config can find the camera but cannot login due to user name or password incorrect. Any browser tried gets no response. Indicator light works as in the documentation.
My other 14 cameras connect to the NVR and Amcrest view on Laptops, iPhones and Kindles, and to Firefox and Chrome. This is the first experience with a Smart Home camera.
Anyone have an idea how to initialize the ASH43 camera?
Unable to initialize / connect to ASH43 camera
Re: Unable to initialize / connect to ASH43 camera
Personally I would keep to the IP camera family. Yet having the Smart Home device if you are not able to setup using an iOS device I would find a family member that has an Android and setup the camera on there, Then you can move the camera over to your AVP.. All smart home devices lack a WebUI so no connection can be made to it over normal browser method like you can the normal Ip line of cameras from Amcrest and others..
Be Safe.
